Changelog
1.3.5
New
- Remote control API (early access beta): hook your rig up to your own scripts and setups, like a Home Assistant automation you write yourself. Set it up in Social > Profile > Advanced.
- API access is a one time $5 unlock on Buy Me a Coffee. Read only access may become free once the API is out of beta.
- API docs are at switch.skrunk.org/api.
Changed
- API commands follow the same rules as the app's buttons, and temp, mode, curve, hold time and profile changes are locked while the rig is firing.
- The website loads faster: fonts are built in and Buy Me a Coffee only loads when you tap support.
- The changelog now lives at switch.skrunk.org/changelog.
- Desktop: the window can shrink down to 320x360.
Fixed
- The website could get stuck at 0F with profiles showing 0 / 5.
1.3.4
New
- switch.skrunk.org is now a homepage, with downloads for every platform, the right one picked for your device, and a FAQ. The web app moved to switch.skrunk.org/app, and your saved rig, settings and Social login carry over.
Changed
- "No, don't ask again" in the "is this your rig?" popup is now "Don't ask for this rig", since it only skips that one rig.
Fixed
- iPhone: hiding the bottom bar left a strip of it showing, with the tab to bring it back too high. The bar now slides all the way off and the tab sits just above the home bar.
1.3.3
New
- Desktop apps for Windows, Mac and Linux. They use the computer's own Bluetooth instead of Chrome's, so there are no flags to set and no device picker every time, and auto connect works like on the phones.
- The Windows and Mac apps update themselves. The Linux app (a flatpak) shows the update with a download link.
- "Is this your rig?" With Social on, a rig that isn't on your profile is asked about after it connects instead of being added on its own. Yes adds it to your stats, No skips it until the app is closed, and "No, don't ask again" skips it for good on that device.
Changed
- The bottom bar can be hidden in the phone and desktop apps too, not just on the website. On iPhone its tab sits above the home bar.
- The support popup shows once, the first time the app opens, instead of after connecting.
Fixed
- Auto connect in the apps could stay off after opening the app until it was toggled.
- A friend's rig that connected while Social was on got added to your profile and stats.
1.3.2
Fixed
- The description meant for search engines flashed on screen for a moment every time the app opened, and the page flashed white before the dark theme loaded. Both are gone.
1.3.1
New
- iPhone app, installed through AltStore or SideStore. Same app as Android.
- Progress ring around the fire button while a session runs. Adding +10 stretches it instead of jumping back.
- Low battery warning also comes as a phone or desktop notification when the app is in the background. The popup still shows when you come back.
- Android app stays connected in the background, with a small notification while it does.
Fixed
- Auto connect did nothing in the Android app. It now works like the website: it waits 2 seconds after the rig shows up, and 15 seconds after the rig drops before looking again. On iPhone it only runs while the app is open.
- Target + and − in °C: taps often did nothing, and − could get stuck on one number. Each tap now moves exactly 1°C.
1.3.0
The social beta, merged into the main app.
New
- Social tab, completely optional. Friends by friend code, leaderboards (all time, this month, this week, global or friends), and a look at your friends' profiles as curves. No email or sign up, just a recovery code. Nothing social loads or connects until you turn it on.
- Copy any single profile from a friend onto your rig.
- Name your profiles. You choose whether friends can see the names.
- Privacy switches for what friends see and whether you show on the global board.
- Back up app settings (auto connect, low battery warning, Advanced Stealth) to your Social account.
- Deals are inside the app now.
- Halloween in October: new light modes on newer firmware, plus a few decorations.
Changed
- Full redesign. Flat dark look, and the current profile's color is the only accent.
- New connect screen with direct Switch 2 and Switch Go buttons.
- Layout adapts to any window size: tall windows stack, wide ones go side by side.
- Faster connecting.
-
Custom curve editor:
- Lock curve shape, then drag any point to move the whole curve up or down.
- While locked, drag the last point sideways to stretch or squish the timing.
- Hold the last point at the right edge to zoom the graph out smoothly.
- Edits can't make a curve faster than the heater can heat or cool.
- Always opens closed, and scrolls into view above the menu.
- The bottom menu no longer has a see-through band behind it.
Fixed
- Auto off kept resetting to 15 minutes.
- Some share codes with two custom profiles decoded into garbage.
- The curve editor could show the previous profile's curve.
