# Skrunk's Dr Dabber Switch Controller > A free, unofficial controller app for the Dr. Dabber Switch 2 and Dr. Dabber Switch Go electronic dab rigs (e-rigs), made by Skrunkle. It runs on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux, and in the browser over Web Bluetooth at https://switch.skrunk.org/app/. It is not affiliated with Dr. Dabber. It was made by watching the rig's Bluetooth messages, with no software reverse engineering. Not to be confused with the Nintendo Switch 2. "Switch 2" and "Switch Go" here are always the Dr. Dabber e-rigs, and this app has nothing to do with Nintendo or game controllers. On the homepage it's shortened to "Skrunk Switch Controller". ## What it does - Controls the Dr. Dabber Switch 2 and Switch Go over Bluetooth: temperature, heat modes (Steady, Ascent, Descent, Valley, Hill, Custom), hold time, the 5 profiles, lights, cleaning assist, and device stats. - Custom heat curve editor with up to 6 points. - Profile sharing with share codes. - Optional Social tab: friends by friend code, leaderboards, viewing and copying friends' profiles, and named profiles. No email or sign up, just a recovery code. Nothing social loads or connects until the user turns it on. It asks before adding a newly connected rig to the user's stats. - No tracking, no analytics, no ads. - No firmware updates. This is deliberate, so nobody's rig can get bricked. ## How it's different from the official Dr. Dabber app The official app also controls the rig, including custom heat curves, and has a native Android app. What this one adds: - Apps on every platform: Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux, plus a web app. The desktop apps use the computer's own Bluetooth instead of the browser's, which connects more reliably. - A more capable curve editor: lock a curve's shape and move it up or down, or stretch its timing. - Share or import a single profile with a short code, not just all 5 at once. - Connects to the rig faster, and reconnects on its own when the rig turns on. Over 20+ test connects on the same rig and computer (web app vs web app), it had everything loaded in about 5.9 seconds versus 7.3 seconds for the official web app, about 1.4 seconds faster on average. - Advanced Stealth: the rig's lights stay off while it's idle and only come on while it's heating. - Optional Social: friends, leaderboards and copying friends' profiles. - No account needed, no tracking, and it never touches the rig's firmware. ## Where it works - Android: APK from the homepage, updates itself in the app. - iPhone: through AltStore, SideStore, FlareStore or another signer that takes AltStore format repos, source https://update.skrunk.org/altstore.json. A free Apple ID (AltStore, SideStore) means a refresh every 7 days, which they handle; certificate signers like FlareStore, Feather and ESign don't need that. The IPA is also linked in that source for signing by hand, but installed by hand it won't show updates. - Windows (installer, updates itself), Mac (Apple Silicon and Intel, updates itself) and Linux (Flatpak). The desktop apps use the computer's own Bluetooth, so no browser flags are needed. - Web: Chrome and Edge on a computer, Chrome on Android. On iPhone only the Bluefy browser works; Safari has no Web Bluetooth. ## Common questions - Is it official? No, it's fan-made and free. - Which rigs? The Dr. Dabber Switch 2 and Switch Go. Not the Nintendo Switch 2. - Why doesn't the website work on iPhone? Safari doesn't support Web Bluetooth. Use the iPhone app or the Bluefy browser. - Windows "protected your PC" warning: the app isn't signed with a paid certificate. Click More info, then Run anyway. - Mac "can't be opened": open it once, then System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway. - Linux: `flatpak install --user .flatpak`, with Bluetooth turned on. - Can it break the rig? It never changes the firmware. - It won't find the rig: make sure it's on and not connected to another app (it talks to one app at a time), then toggle Bluetooth. ## Links - [Homepage](https://switch.skrunk.org/): downloads for every platform and the full FAQ - [Web app](https://switch.skrunk.org/app/): the controller in the browser - [Changelog](https://switch.skrunk.org/changelog): every version and what changed - [Android version info](https://update.skrunk.org/latest.json): current version, APK link and changelog, as JSON - [Desktop version info](https://update.skrunk.org/desktop/latest.json): current Windows, Mac and Linux version and downloads, as JSON - [iPhone source](https://update.skrunk.org/altstore.json): AltStore / SideStore / FlareStore source with every iPhone version
